Oral, Dental, and Maxillofacial Surgery

Oral, Dental, and Maxillofacial Surgery in Turkey

Oral, dental, and maxillofacial surgery is a field of medicine that treats all diseases by including all soft tissues such as the tongue, lips, cheeks, salivary glands, teeth, jaw, and jaw joints. The surgical treatments we routinely do in our clinic are implants, extraction of erupted and impacted teeth, apical resection, root resection, cyst operations, sinus floor elevation, fracture treatment, bone augmentations and graft, vestibule deepening, gingival smile line regulation.

These treatments are performed under local or general anesthesia after the clinical and radiographic examination of the relevant region and, if necessary, after a biopsy is taken from the relevant region. After about 7-10 days, the stitches in the relevant area are removed in a short time and the patients are called for control at regular intervals.

Which Diseases Does an Oral, Dental, and Maxillofacial Surgeon Treat?

  • Normal tooth extraction treatment,

What is Tooth Extraction?

It is called the process of removing the tooth from the socket in the bone by applying anesthesia by a dentist or oral surgeon.

It is usually called the process of subcutaneous removal of wisdom teeth. Our jaws are getting smaller and smaller, and wisdom teeth may not be able to come out from under the skin. Therefore, it can press by pushing other teeth and cannot come out from under the skin. This causes serious pain to the patient.
