Dental Crown in Turkey

Dental Crown: Bridging the Gap to a Perfect Smile!

What are Dental Crowns?

One of the most popular dental procedures for people who wish to improve their smile and oral health is getting a dental crown. Turkey has grown in popularity among dental tourists seeking economical, high-quality dental crowns as technology has advanced and demand for cosmetic dentistry has increased.

A dental crown is a type of treatment that is applied to the tooth to prevent additional decay or damage and restore function. Dentists commonly utilize dental crowns to treat a variety of tooth ailments.

Dental Crown Methods

Gold Crowns

Gold crowns are made of copper and other metals like nickel or chromium. The fundamental benefit of gold crowns is their longevity and strength.  However, because of their hue and attractiveness, gold crowns are not a popular choice anymore.

All Porcelain Crowns

They are completely constructed of porcelain. Crowns made of porcelain or ceramic appear the nicest and most natural.  They are the same shape, size, and color as your surrounding teeth. The most suitable alternative for front tooth restorations. They are biocompatible, which means they contain no dangerous metals.

Porcelain Fused-to-Metal Crowns (PFM)

Another common form of dental crown is a porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM) crown. They provide both strength and beauty. They are both attractive and long-lasting. They've been used for almost 50 years. They cost less than all-porcelain crowns.

Zirconia Crowns

Zirconium is a novel substance that combines metal strength with the aesthetics of porcelain crowns.  High translucent zirconia and stacked zirconia crowns have recently become trendier. They are tough and durable. Because zirconia can be cut and shaped in the same dentist's office, the procedure can be shortened. It is not necessary to submit them to a dental lab. Because of their resilience, zirconia crowns are less likely to wear down. They are biocompatible: because they are metal-free, they are unlikely to trigger allergic reactions.

Before Dental Crown

If you're thinking about getting a dental crown operation, you should know what to expect. To determine if you are a good candidate for a dental crown, your dentist will look over your teeth, evaluate your medical history, and take X-rays. Furthermore, your dentist will explain all of the crown options to you and assist you in selecting the one that is ideal for you.

When your dentist determines that a dental crown is the best option for you, your tooth is prepped for the crown. A mold of your teeth is created by the dentist to be used as the crown. This mold will be used to construct a one-of-a-kind crown that fits your teeth flawlessly.

After Dental Crown

Following a dental crown, proper care and maintenance are required. Your dentist can provide you with information on how to care for and keep your dental crown. This could include avoiding certain foods and maintaining proper oral hygiene. The dentist will schedule follow-up appointments to inspect the condition of your crown and the teeth that surround it.

You can return to your normal life after this procedure. It's typical to have difficulty adjusting to the dental crown at first, but it's no different from your natural teeth! Follow your dentist's advice after not eating or drinking anything for around an hour.

If you don't see an answer to your question, you can send us an email from our contact form.

It takes at least four hours after the anesthetic to feel comfortable eating and chewing foods. When you have permanent crowns, you should avoid sticky and hard meals for the first 24 hours. After that, you may begin eating.

Drinks that are extremely hot or cold should be consumed slowly and should be consumed a few days later.

It should feel comfortable in a few days, and you won't even notice. The crown may feel slightly high in the bite at times. This usually resolves within 10 days, and the crown does not need to be adjusted. If it still does not feel correct after this period, please contact your dentist to have it checked and adjusted.

While having a dental crown may feel odd at first and lead you to eat differently, this odd feeling will go on within a few days.

While crown sensitivity to cold liquids is possible, it should only last a few weeks after you get your crown. If you have been feeling it for more than a few weeks, you should see a dentist.

Don't do it at first, but you can bite it afterward. You have to be careful, though. In general, do not eat solid foods so as not to break the crowns.

Patients who have a dental crown as part of an implant should wash their teeth at least twice a day using a soft-bristled toothbrush. When it comes to toothpaste, it is critical to choose a non-abrasive recipe. Brushing around and under the dental crown should be done as much as feasible.

Oral bacteria are sneaky little rascals that can find their way beneath a crown, especially if the person who wears it does not practice basic oral care. You should take care of your dental health.

After your permanent crown has been bonded in place, you must wait 24 hours for the cement to solidify completely. You can brush your teeth after 24 hours.
